This is my latest collagraph illustration I made for the @foliosociety competition for the book Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.

I absolutely LOVED putting this image together, and although it didn't get shortlisted, I adore this image. It makes me think back to quarantined times but acts also as a reminder of the importance of living the life you choose and not what is expected, the norm.

Applying to competitions, rejection and visibility is sooo challenging in the illustration industry. And yet I choose to continue making things, some people will see them and others won't.

I will however, always choose to look outside the window and marvel.

It starts on monday, June 1st and I am SO excited to explore and develop a story I have been writing for the last couple of months!

This illustration is from a book I am currently working on, written and illustrated by me! I have so many Picture Books in the works, and can't wait to use this 8-week course to dive deeper into the world of children's stories! ✨️♥️🌸
